Starting out on the Pfingstegg, the hike along the slopes of the Mettenberg in to the Bäregg will take approx. 1 hour. The Bäregg restaurant is open from summer to fall. Along the whole length of the trail you will have a fabulous view of the lower Grindelwald glacier, the Eismeer and the steep Fiescher northface. For sturdy and accustomed hikers the trail can continue on up to the Schreckhorn hut at 2'529 m (approx. another 4 hrs.).
